At Leo’s Helping Paws, we are focused on reaching out to small non-profit all-volunteer rescues that do not have the resources to pay for expensive medical care. We help those rescues pay for the care and healing of dogs in need.

Leo is Lending a Paw to Char-Wills German Shepherd Rescue for the Vet Care of “Riggs”….Here is his Story..
While being examined by our vet, it was discovered that Riggs has a severe heart murmur in addition to problems with his legs. We immediately took Riggs to a cardiologist, where an echocardiogram was performed. Sadly, this puppy has a severe congenital heart condition called “pulmonic stenosis”. On the advice of Riggs’ cardiac specialist, we are placing him on medication for now and monitoring his activity levels. He will return to the cardiologist in 10 weeks for a re-evaluation to see if there is anything surgical that can be done to help him. For now, he is playing and resting comfortably in a loving foster home.
Leo’s was more than Happy to Lend a Paw to Help to Char-Wills for this little puppy. Good luck to you little guy! ❤🐾
Leo’s Helping Paws provides financial assistance to dog rescue groups in Pennsylvania and neighboring states, for veterinary care, with a primary focus on puppy mill dogs, in addition to abused and neglected dogs, and to educate the community about puppy mills. To aid in this mission, the corporation may make grants from time to time to other non-profit organizations. We are an all-volunteer organization.
